Anthony Colin Bruce Chapman founded the Lotus Engineering Company in 1952 in order to build race cars. And Lotus has always held his principles at the core of everything they do; innovation, performance through light weight, exceptional ride and handling and exhilarating to drive.

Fear not though, despite the dramatic upgrades the Elise SC has lost none of the cheeky charm that made the two-seater sports car famous, it still retains performance through lightweight and handles like a dream – albeit a quite aggressive and tension filled dream. With a 1.8 litre inline 4 pressure charged engine delivering up to 220 PS, the Elise SC should reach 0-100kph in under 4.5 seconds.

The moment you set eyes on the Lotus Evora it breathes agility, athleticism and performance. The Evora presses all the right race car buttons: mid-engine layout, high-tech and super-stiff extruded and bonded aluminium chassis and very strong lightweight forged aluminium wishbones. Its low, its swoopy, and is shatteringly agile.
From the outset the design team had intentions to take the Evora racing and the chassis was designed with this in mind. Endurance races are the perfect events to showcase the efficiency, handling and durability characteristics that have been fundamental to the concept of the Evora. We look forward to seeing the Evora Type 124 Endurance Racecar line up for the BritCar 24 Hours in October.
